About this file

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Jacksonville Independent School District (JISD) in Texas for new generator installations at seven existing food service facilities across the district. The awarded contractor will be responsible for delivering and installing the generators, transfer switches, breaker panels, required fencing, and other necessary components on a turnkey basis. The required generators are 30 kW, 120/208V, 3-phase natural gas powered units with automatic transfer switches. Site-specific requirements are provided for Jacksonville High School, Jacksonville Middle School, Nichols Intermediate, East Side Elementary, Fred Douglass Elementary, West Side Elementary, and Joe Wright Elementary. Proposals are due by 2:30 pm Central Time on July 2, 2024, and the district anticipates awarding the contract in July 2024 with a desired completion date before August 31, 2024.

The RFP outlines pricing requirements, including bid pricing for the generators, gas piping, switches, breaker panels, freight, materials, installation, and any required fencing or concrete slabs. The district will evaluate proposals based on weighted criteria such as purchase price, vendor reputation, quality, ability to meet district needs, past relationship, and ability to provide the required quantities and timely installation. No information is provided regarding set-asides, incumbents, or funding sources, but the district states it is a turnkey project with all utilities to be provided within five feet of the equipment locations.
