About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals (RFP) issued by Lamar University for Sign Language Interpreter Services. The RFP seeks to establish an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for these services, with an anticipated contract start date of September 1, 2024. The anticipated annual volume is approximately 3,700 contracting hands-in-the-air hours, with an annual budget of $350,000-$400,000. The RFP allows for both on-site and virtual/remote interpreting services, with a 48-hour notice requirement. Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to federal Domestic Per Diem Rates, but travel time is not reimbursable.

The Addendum provides responses to various questions, clarifying that both on-site and virtual interpreting services are required, and that Lamar University has existing staff interpreters. The current/standard cancellation policy is that if an assignment is canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, the interpreter may be reassigned as needed. Interested vendors are advised to submit their proposals by the due date of June 4, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. local time.
