Overview

Introduction:

This Excel Workbook is an optional template for applicants to fill in and submit as the financial projections (statement of financial position and statement of activities), which are described in Section 2.5.2 of the Narrative Proposal, for the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund - National Clean Investment Fund competition. This is an optional template, and applicants will not be penalized if they do not use the template. If you do use this template, you may upload the file as an Excel titled per the instructions in the Notice of Funding Opportunity.

Instructions:

Below is a description of the steps an applicant should complete to finish the template.

Statement of Financial Position

- In column B, add and subtract rows for specific line items in your projections of the statement of financial position to support evaluation against the evaluation criteria listed in Section V.A: Evaluation Criteria. Applications may be able to receive full points even if they submit only selected line items; in this case, the individual line items may not sum together. The statement of financial position will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria, regardless of whether you include all line items or only selected line items.

- In columns C-P, fill in the projections for year-end figures for each year of your proposed program's period of performance. Provide separate projections for the program funds ("program account") as well as for your entire organization ("total organization"). For the purposes of the financial projections, the statement of financial position should assume the full EPA funding request is recognized as an asset at the beginning of the period of performance. Given that the period of performance is anticipated to begin by July 2024, the statement of financial position should reflect year-end figures as of June 30th of each year, starting with June 30th, 2025.

Statement of Activities

- In column B, add and subtract rows for specific line items in your projections of the statement of activities to support evaluation against the evaluation criteria listed in Section V.A: Evaluation Criteria. Applications may be able to receive full points even if they submit only selected line items; in this case, the individual line items may not sum together. The statement of activities will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria, regardless of whether you include all line items or only selected line items.

- In columns C-P, fill in the projections for annual figures for each year of your proposed program's period of performance. Provide separate projections for the program funds ("program account") as well as for your entire organization ("total organization"). Given that the period of performance is anticipated to begin by July 2024, the statement of activities should reflect activities from July through June of each year, starting with July 2024-June 2025.

Definitions -In columns A-C, add and subtract rows for specific line items that may need to be defined for evaluators to assess your financial projections against the evaluation criteria listed in Section V.A: Evaluation Criteria.
