Costs for capitalization funding and technical assistance subawards for different industry networks - applicants may disaggregate these costs to facilitate consideration of an application for partial funding, to the extent practicable and if proposing to serve multiple networks

Introduction:

This Excel Workbook is an optional template for applicants to fill in and submit as the detailed budget table, which is described in Section 1.4.2 of the Narrative Proposal, for the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund - Clean Communities Investment Accelerator competition. This is an optional template, and applicants will not be penalized if they do not use the template. If you do use this template, you may upload the file as an Excel titled per the instructions in the Notice of Funding Opportunity.

Please see the Notice of Funding Opportunity for guidance on how to create this budget table. In particular, refer to Appendix D: Program Budget for detailed guidance.

Instructions:

Below is a description of the steps an applicant should complete to finish the template.

- In column C, add and subtract rows to detail itemized costs (and specific descriptions of costs) in each cost category per the guidance in Appendix D: Program Budget.

- In columns D through I, fill in the cost for the line item per year, including subtotals for each budget category - personnel, fringe benefits, travel, equipment, supplies, contractual, and other direct costs (e.g., subawards, participant support costs, other) as well as indirect costs (note: the template examples only have year 1 values included, yet applicants must fill in costs for every year of the applicant's proposed period of performance). As directed in Appendix D: Program Budget, ensure that costs are aggregated and separated from all other costs for two specific categories: (1) capitalization funding and (2) technical assistance subawards.

- In column K, calculate the total cost for the line item for the entire program, including subtotals for each budget category - personnel, fringe benefits, travel, equipment, supplies, contractual, and other direct costs (e.g., subawards, participant support costs, other) as well as indirect costs.

- At the bottom of the table (rows 66-67 of the template), calculate the share of funds passed through to community lenders in the form of capitalization funding (both the direct costs of funds passed through as well as associated indirect costs), which must be a minimum of 80% for the entire program, as well as the share of funds passed through to community lenders in the form of both for capitalization funding and technical assistance subawards (both the direct costs of funds passed through as well as associated indirect costs), which must be a minimum of 90% for the entire program.
