About this file
This is an advertisement document for a Request for Proposals issued by the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority in Georgia for Emergency and On-Call Construction services. The contract is designed to provide periodic construction services for emergency repairs and on-call work, including utility relocation, exploratory excavations, landscape repairs, maintenance, modifications, and other construction services related to the Owner's pipelines and water system facilities. The contract will be structured as a one-year standing agreement under which the Contractor will provide services periodically upon request from the Owner. Only pipeline contractors currently pre-qualified with Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority for Categories 3 (48 inches and smaller) and Category 4 (unlimited size) as of the first date of the RFP are eligible to receive bidding documents and submit proposals.
Compensation for services will be provided on a time and materials basis with reimbursement for actual costs incurred. The contract carries a one-year term with potential renewal options. The pre-qualification requirement significantly limits the eligible bidder pool, restricting participation to contractors who have already demonstrated capability and compliance with the Water Authority's standards for pipeline work of the specified categories.
