About this file
This technical specification document is from the City of Tampa, Florida, detailing requirements for custom solid waste dumpster and cart enclosures for the city's downtown area. The project seeks qualified vendors to design, manufacture, and deliver garbage container enclosures that enhance urban cleanliness and improve pedestrian experiences. The scope includes two primary enclosure types: dumpster enclosures (capable of housing two 4-yard front-end load containers) and cart enclosures (designed to hold one to four 95-gallon carts). The enclosures must feature secure access systems, lockable doors, optional access tracking technology, and be constructed with durable, corrosion-resistant materials that complement downtown architecture.
Vendors must submit comprehensive proposals including detailed design specifications, material details, access control technology descriptions, maintenance protocols, production timelines, and an itemized cost breakdown. The bid response includes multiple unit sizes for both front-end load (FEL) containers (2-yard, 4-yard, 6-yard) and cart enclosures (95-gallon), with varying quantities for each type. Key technical requirements mandate that enclosures have three solid sides, a solid top, opening doors with locking pins, and hardware for secure surface attachment. Optional features include city branding, integrated access control systems, and potential waste management data collection integration. The specification emphasizes public safety, aesthetics, and compatibility with existing waste management infrastructure.
