Note: There is OM1 fiber coming into TC51 that services other parts of the building that must remain intact and terminated in the existing patch panel in Rack 2.

Provide a horizontal pathway system using a centralized cable tray system originating from TC51, if required. Initial maximum cable tray fill ratio shall be 25% per UFC 3-580-01 and TIA-569C.

Horizontal cabling will exit TC51 via 4-in. sleeve(s); The quantity shall be determined by the cabling density exiting TC51, no more than 40% conduit fill capacity and consideration for 25% horizontal cable tray future growth.

Work area faceplates in 5300 are a single gang, six-position modular faceplates configured to receive and terminate two green jacketed unclassified RJ45 Cat 5E cables and two, 2-strand red jacketed classified OM3 cables. All elements of the classified cable plant shall reside within the Navy suite.

Modular furniture cabling will be run within furniture panels and an outlet box and faceplate shall be surface mounted above the work surface. Cabling exiting modular furniture shall be protected using whips during the transition to the vertical chase. Power and communication poles are not desired, however if necessary, should be minimized.

All conference rooms shall be wired with minimum of two new work area outlets. Do not remove or alter existing work area faceplates. Larger conference rooms may include an A/V workstation which shall also have an outlet. All private offices shall be wired with a minimum of two new work area faceplates. Do not remove or alter existing work area faceplates. The exact location of these faceplates will be provided when the drawings are finalized. Normally, one is located by the desk and the other on the opposite wall or where the huddle table is located.

Overview Suite 5400/5500 This work order adds OM3 fiber in offices 5508, 5402, 5403, 5405, 5406, 5409, 5410 and 5506. Provide classified 2-strand OM3 fiber optic cable with red jacket and duplex LC connector terminations. Cable terminated connectors each connect to like-type duplex-LC modular adapters within patch panels and work area faceplates, fitted with matching color-coded insert (Commscope P/N: 2111408- 7 or similar). These cables shall originate in a contractor provided patch panel in Rack 3 in TC51 and terminate at work area outlets in 5400 and 5500. All new horizontal classified cabling will terminate at patch panel located at in Rack 3. Designation for this cable shall be classified data and voice.

Work area faceplates are a single gang, two-position modular faceplates configured to receive and terminate two, 2-strand red jacketed classified OM3 cables. All elements of the classified cable plant shall reside within the Navy suite. Each office will receive two work area faceplates. The first placed at 18 inches from the floor at the desk and the second on a wall by the conference table. Purpose of the work area faceplate at the desk is to support additional classified assets at the desk. Purpose of the fiber faceplate at the conference table is to support classified VTC or classified VOIP. If there is a TV mounted in the room align the second work area faceplate under the TV.

Conference room 5506 will have two work area drops added. One under the dual screen TVs and the other by the AV desk.

Do not remove any OM1 cable from this space. Administrative Labeling and Testing The contractor shall uniquely identify and physically label room penetration, added cable tray, cable, workstation drop, workstation drop port, patch panel, and patch panel port. All cabling will be uniquely labeled at each end with the same label (associated with that cable run) that uniquely identifies all relevant termination location information for each end of the cable. Contractor will ensure unique workstation drop and patch panel identifier does not overlap with identifiers used outside the refurbished suites that terminate in the TC51.

Each workstation drop will also have the unique identifiers of that drop and all ports as well as the remote IWC cable termination location identifiers. All administrative labeling will be per TIA 606- C.

Note that with the exception of the customer required color coding (noted herein) of cabling and components, the TIA 606-C standard is to be followed in labeling and documentation. Record Documentation and drawings shall show the identifiers and locations of all items labeled.
