The availability will take place on the West Coast and involves extensive maintenance and modernization of a Littoral Combat Ship (LCS-2 Class) with approximately 114,380 total man-days (100,861 for maintenance and 13,519 for modernization). Key modernization efforts include TSCE-HW and SW Upgrade, A/C Plant Chill Water Pumps Replacement, 57MM Deck Protection Modification, AUX 5 Tank Top Pitting Modification, and SEARAM Radar Maintenance unit upgrades.
The maintenance requirements span multiple critical ship systems, including hull structure, propulsion plant, electric plant, command and surveillance, auxiliary systems, and outfit and furnishings. Specific work includes condition-based structural repairs, waterjet and shaft assembly replacement, radar component replacements, sea valve repairs, deck non-skid replacement, and various aluminum structural welding repairs. The contractor must provide qualified aluminum welders, integrate Advanced Integration Team (AIT) personnel, manage third-party contractors, and accommodate government personnel within an Integrated Production Schedule. Support services will include temporary air conditioning, lodging, hazardous waste control, and installation team support.
