Statement of Need
Providing Replacement Dock Hoses For the Seawater Plumbing System
NMFS/NWFSC Manchester Research Station
Port Orchard, WA
1. Purpose: Supply two dock suction and discharge hoses that meet the requirements of NOAA government staff for seawater pumping used to supply seawater to the fishery research located at NOAA’s Seawater Net Pen Research Area in Clam Bay Kitsap County.
2. Location: NWFSC’s Manchester Research Station, 7305 Beach Dr. E, Port Orchard, Washington 98366.
3. Tasks: The vendor shall furnish two EW339 12 inch x 30 foot, heavy duty suction and discharge (OS&D) dock hoses with 316 stainless steel built in flanged nipples on both side of the hose as listed in the requirements below.
Requirements :
1. WE339 12 inch x 30 foot heavy-duty suction and discharge dock hose.
2. Built-in 316 stainless steel 150# flanged nipples on each end.
3. ID 12 inches. OD must be between 13.5 to 14 inches.
4. PSI rating of 150 or greater.
5. Minimum bend radius of 72 inches.
6. Must be resistant to oils, cuts, scuffs, abrasions, and weathering.
7. Meets all United States Coast Guard requirements for dock (OS&D) hoses.
8. Minimum manufacturer warranty of one year.
9. Vendor/supplier must provide all hose build technical specification for review by Government staff prior to contract award.
10. Items shall be delivered within 8 weeks of award with expected delivery date provided to the Government.
11. Ship to location listed below using open sided transport vehicle for easy offloading by government staff.

4. Receiving and Acceptance: Government will inspect to ensure that hoses and flanges meet the specifications in terms of condition, material, and dimensions specified in the statement of need prior to acceptance.
