Siemens Industry, Inc. POC: Chad Stadig
Building Technologies Service Account Engineer II PO Box 81046 chad.stadig@siemens.com Fairbanks, AK 99708 Office: (907) 479-7034 Ext. 200
The Underwriters Labs 2050 IDS certification requires a four-hour response window from the alarm system vendor as well as service provided by a UL-recognized monitoring center.
The FCDAS physical location requires that the provider have a local Fairbanks office to meet the four-hour response window. According to the UL certifications directory, Siemens is the only service provider meeting these criteria. (See item #6 below.) Furthermore, Siemens installed the system in the current FCDAS building and is the contractor selected to install the IDS hardware/software in the new operations building under construction. They have unique, proprietary documentation for maintenance and monitoring of the IDS.
6. Describe your market research efforts and efforts to ensure that offers are solicited from as many potential sources as is practicable:
List other sources/companies researched by phone, Internet, site visit, trade publication, catalog, etc. Include the name of the contractor, the name of the individual contacted and phone number (if applicable) along with the make/model number of equipment (if applicable) and the reason why they will or will not meet your need. Attach any applicable research documentation from the Internet, catalog, etc.
