OBSERVER INTERVIEW
Northeast Fisheries Observer Program
The purpose of this interview is to aid the staff of the Fisheries Sampling Branch in identifying areas of the Observer Program that could be strengthened, improved, and/or refined. Valuable information can be gained by talking to the observers about their experiences. The topics listed below should be discussed in a private setting with every observer leaving the program. This interview should also be done with current observers on an annual basis. Feedback will be given to the observer contractor and FSB staff, in aggregate form, although the respondent names may remain anonymous. The interviewer should be aware that some subjects may be private, and out of respect to the observer, should be treated as sensitive material. (Continue to take notes on another page if needed.)
