About this file
This statement of work outlines calibration and repair services for data loggers used in missile transportation and storage. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division requires that the contractor, Lansmont, screen, field test, calibrate if needed, and repair the loggers to verify proper function, measurement accuracy, and certify the instruments meet requirements. Services include checking battery draw, memory, functionality of inputs and triggers, signal conditioner calibration, temperature response verification, frequency response, and sensor calibration. The contractor will also install new batteries if needed, apply tamper seals and calibration labels. If instruments are operating correctly no repair is required, otherwise the contractor will issue a quote for approval to perform any repairs. All work will be conducted at the contractor's location, with equipment shipped to and received from Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation through the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command for calibration and evaluation services for the identified data loggers under solicitation number N6339423Q0038.

1. BACKGROUND/INTRODUCTION
NSWC PHD is the designated In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), and the data loggers supports the Standard Missile All-Up-Rounds (SM AURs) during transportation and storage to monitor the environmental conditions. This is a requirement by Program Executive Office (PEO) Missile Defense Agency (MDA) to ensure the safety and integrity of the mission.
NSWC PHD has researched and chosen the company that can fulfil our requirement. Lacking the time, personnel, and facility resources to field test, calibrated/repair, NSWC PHD requests that a contractor facilitate this requirement.

Repair: Contractor will evaluate our instruments to ensure that they are operating as designed. If the instrument is found to be functioning correctly and no repair is needed, the Evaluation & Repair fee will be waived. If repairs are required, Lansmont will automatically proceed to complete the repair provided that doing so will not exceed this Evaluation & Repair fee. If the cost of repairs will exceed this fee, then Lansmont will issue an additional quotation for the repair and proceed upon approval from the customer.
