JANUARY 16, 2013

The due date for capability packages is extended from Thursday, January 17, 2013 to Tuesday, January 22, 2013.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

Question #1: Which type of car, truck or large truck shall we replicate?

Answer: -Specific model for each type not necessary. Generic US sedan. Generic truck is delivery truck or large van (6 wheels). Large truck is tractor trailer.

Question #2: Terrain database – how many square miles shall be devoted for each particular scene (rural, urban, residential, industrial, commercial) – 10x10 miles, less, more?

Answer: We did not specify how much scenery to deliver, but for Volpe to have the ability to make scenes (rural, urban, etc). With that in mind we are interested in the ability to place building, roads, farms, rail crossings, signs, and other components that would comprise a scene.

Question #3: Is there any requirements to link the Frasca simulator together?

Answer: No requirement to connect to FRASCA flight simulator. FRASCA is only in room layout picture for size and placement reference.

Question #4: What and where are the main inputs to simulator – electricity, compressed air, etc… Answer: 120 VAC will be provided to power the simulator.
