About this file
This is an advertisement document issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) replacement project at the Mackinac Island Heritage Center. The project involves the replacement of the existing HVAC system at the facility. Interested bidders are required to submit sealed bids by the specified deadline, with bids to be publicly opened and read aloud at the designated time and location. A pre-bid site visit and bidders' conference are scheduled to allow potential contractors to inspect the facility, review project specifications, and ask clarifying questions regarding the scope of work. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder meeting all bid requirements and specifications outlined in the solicitation documents.
Pricing for the project will be submitted on a lump-sum basis unless otherwise specified in the bid documents. The project is funded through state appropriations allocated to the Department of Technology, Management and Budget for capital improvements and facility maintenance. Contractors must comply with all applicable state and federal regulations, including prevailing wage requirements if applicable to the project scope. The awarded contractor will be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and services necessary to complete the HVAC replacement work in accordance with the contract documents and project timeline established by the state.
