1. What is the application?
To remove diesel oil used to start training fires from water used to fight the fires. Water is recycled for reuse.
1. What is the source of condensate?
Please define the term condensate in connection with Oil Water Separators. We have not found the term used in our market research.
1. What is “FTC”?
Great Lakes Fire Training Center (FTC) located in Swanton Ohio this is the facility where the oil water separator will be installed.
1. Is this a one off special need?
MARAD will be purchasing only one of these units; however the requirements are fairly standard for current manufactures’ of OWS units, based on MARAD market research.
1. What is the inlet concentration?
No testing or sampling has been conducted.
1. What is the oil mix?
FTC uses diesel oil to light off training fires, so it will be a mix of water and diesel oil. Exact composition is uncertain as no testing or sampling has been conducted.
1. What is the inlet temp?
Water temperature will be close to whatever ambient air temperature is at FTC (probably between 40 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit depending on the season).
1. Not sure if you can do this with a 110 volt circuit?
This requirement is fairly standard for current manufactures’ of OWS units, based on MARAD market research.
