Background: The WARP satellite dish is no longer in use. The dish, concrete pedestal it is mounted on, and the bollards around it are to be removed, and the parking lot is to be repaired. A contractor will be hired to perform the work listed in this scope. The contractor will provide separate pricing for Scope of

Project Duration: 14 Calendar Days
Scope of Work:
Locate utilities on FAA property around concrete pedestal.
Saw cut asphalt around pedestal (approximately 10’x15’).
Demolish and properly dispose of dish and associated hardware, reinforced concrete pedestal, and asphalt surrounding the pedestal. Remove dish and excavated materials from project site and legally dispose of them in an EPA‐approved landfill. Excavated materials cannot be stored on site. The contractor may choose to recycle materials as they choose.
Remove power and communications cables from concrete block to the interior of the building.
Cut and cap all electrical and communication conduits at least one foot below surface. Use approved water tight material for capping conduits.
Cap interior conduits with approved material to make water tight.
Remove and dispose of concrete‐filled, steel bollards and concrete bumpers.
Apply tack coat to vertical surfaces of cold pavement joints with existing pavement and concrete.
Patch affected area with gravel base (minimum six inches of gravel base) and six inches of asphalt – 4 inches of Intermediate Course and 2 inches of Surface Course.
Restripe affected area around the concrete pedestal and over the patch. Layout new spaces using existing spaces as a guide. Apply paint per manufacturer’s recommendations. Do not apply paint on days with high wind to prevent overspray on adjacent vehicles and buildings.
Bid Option 1 Scope of Work:
Restripe entire Parking Lot E using existing markings as guide.
Submittals:
Provide the following submittals to FAA for approval prior to use. Contractor may provide the submittals via hardcopy or electronic copy. Include cover sheet/transmittal with submittals.

Intermediate Course – Stone Matrix Asphalt IM‐19.0A or conform to VDOT spec.
Surface course – Stone Matrix Asphalt SM‐9.5A or conform to VDOT spec.
