IT Requirement & Specifications Documents 03/08/19

Information Technology Requirement & Specifications Documents Crownpoint VoIP/IPT Project Plan 2019

1. Background The Information Technology program is committed to providing technical leadership and delivery of services to the Crownpoint Service Unit. It serves to provide computing, printing, networking, telecommunications and application support to the administrative and clinical programs at Crownpoint, Pueblo Pintado and Thoreau healthcare facilities. The technology staff develop, research and implement technologies to enable the healthcare organization to access and manage administrative and clinical information, provide an infrastructure to support the delivery of information and maintains core information systems and resources for the service unit.

Crownpoint Service Unit has two communications plans to meet

1.1. The requirement and specifications meets the following elements:

New Requirement (Completely new set of functionality, interface, technology/equipment/system) Standardization (a technical standard by specification, service agreements, IT methodology or employed standard operating procedures for compatibility, interchangeability, commonality or by reference.)

Enhancement / Upgrade (Additional functionality to existing system or equipment)

Latent Defect or patch discovery: (Defect resolution) Recurring Business Process: (recurring maintenance services, current service level agreement, contracted terms and conditions) Technology Refresh: (required capability, process or practice is running on an obsolete technology or system)

1.2. The IT project will support these IT Indian Health Services initiatives:

Practice Management (Revenue

Generation, Cost Avoidance, ICD-10) Interoperability/Health Information

Exchange Electronic Health Record Infrastructure/Architecture Clinical Decision Support Meaningful Use Workforce Development Telemedicine Coordination

Tribal Shares Calculation Data Quality/Accuracy IHS Master Patient Index (MPI) Administrative Management Tools Bandwidth Security and Regulatory Compliance Innovation of Technical and Business

Practices Patient Communication Environmental Health

1.3 The type of specification

Project Specification (Document developed to define the technical requirements that apply to a specific project or product.)

Design Specification (gives specific business need how a product is to be made or a service delivered. It provides functional and non-functional requirements, assumptions, constraints, performance, and reliability.)

Performance Specification (describes the performance requirements that a product must meet to achieve the desired end result)

2. Scope

Crownpoint Service Unit is required to expand its Cisco Unfied Call Manager (CUCM) system with additional assets to support the migration efforts for Thoreau and Crownpoint with more phones, software licenses, networking equipment to avoid the shortfall of communication needs during a migration. Crownpoint IT issued more Mitel phones in the last 16 months. This will lead to the possibilty of the number of limited Cisco IP phones and licenses needed and network equipment to successfully migrate from the Mitel PBX to the Cisco technology.
