About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a Nutanix equipment upgrade for the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX. The project involves providing a hyperconverged virtual environment expansion, specifically adding GPU nodes to run clinical applications. The contractor must supply and install Nutanix hardware including 3 NX-3460-G9 4-node clusters with Intel Xeon-Silver processors, 96x 64GB memory modules, 72x 3.84TB SSDs, and additional networking and support components. Key requirements include seamless integration, VA security compliance, and the ability to mix and match product lines across different departments.

The SOW specifies comprehensive installation services, including network configuration, cluster deployment, hypervisor setup, and Prism Central integration. The contractor must have at least 3 successful past performances with advanced Nutanix installations and provide a turn-key GPU expansion compatible with existing systems. The project has a maximum performance period of 1 year, with 5 years of support services, and requires the vendor to be VetBiz verified. Specific technical requirements include a 100% software-defined system, hypervisor agnostic operating system, unified storage capability, and management through a single user interface.
