About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a pavement repair project for the 436th Civil Engineer Squadron at Dover Air Force Base (Dover AFB), Delaware. The project involves repairing the Transient Ramp Phase 1 asphalt pavement, with specific requirements including sawcutting the pavement perimeter to a 2-inch depth, milling existing asphalt to 2 inches, repaving with 2 inches of PG 76-22 FAA Mix, sealing pavement edges, and restriping to the original pattern.
The project has a 45-day period of performance from the Notice to Proceed, with critical constraints including working with Security Forces, Civil Engineering Program Management, and Airfield Management while maintaining an active airfield. Contractors must complete extensive security requirements, including criminal background checks, antiterrorism training, and obtaining proper base access credentials. The work will be conducted during base hours (7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday), with potential work stoppages due to mission requirements. Additional requirements include daily check-ins with Airfield Management, obtaining a temporary construction waiver, and providing detailed equipment and personnel information for access processing.
