About this file
This document is a Draft Statement of Work (SOW) for a Request for Information (RFI) regarding the replacement of the boiler system in Building 5022 at the 126th ARW. The existing boiler system has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced with an equivalent system that meets ASHRAE and UFC heating standards for the building, which includes both office and maintenance shop space.
The SOW outlines the specific work required, including removal of the existing boilers, installation of two new Lochinvar PBN1500 boilers or an appropriately sized equivalent system, and any necessary repairs, inspections, and testing to ensure the new system is compliant and fully functional. The contractor will also be responsible for providing all required materials, labor, and equipment, as well as maintaining and calibrating the system controls and integrating it with the existing Direct Digital Control (DDC) system. The Government is seeking input on the feasibility of the project, estimated costs, timelines, and any other considerations before contracting for this work, which has an estimated value of less than $250,000.

D. Install two (2) NEW Lochinvar PBN1500 boilers, or equivalent. If a smaller system is likely to be appropriate, provide a study to properly size a new system. Install the appropriately sized system in lieu of the PBN1500.
E. Ensure each boiler has properly sized circulating pumps installed in each boiler loop.
If it is determined larger circulating pumps are needed, then install correctly sized pumps for the system.
F. Provide water test and factory analysis to ensure system is properly functioning and within compliance. If results are not in compliance with standards required by the equipment, the contractor must provide proper filtering to clean the system and restore the systems proper levels.
G. Contractor will furnish and install closed loop chemical cleaner JT-3450 Closed Loop Cleaner or equivalent. Install closed loop corrosion inhibitor JT-325 Closed Loop Inhibitor or equivalent.
