About this file

This draft scope of work document outlines requirements for the design and build of two continuous flow thermal effluent decontamination systems for the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases at Fort Detrick, Maryland. The systems must be capable of processing 24,000 gallons per day of BSL3 and BSL4 laboratory effluent at a minimum temperature of 284 degrees Fahrenheit for 60 minutes. Additional requirements include leak-free construction, automated controls and monitoring systems, secondary containment, and the ability to temper treated effluent to below 140 degrees Fahrenheit prior to discharge. The contractor must also provide engineering drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, staff training, and a one year warranty. The document requests pricing for optional annual preventative maintenance services and critical spare parts. Responses to W81XWH-22-RFI-KKL01 are due within 21 days to conduct market research for this requirement.
