BACKGROUND
The City is projected to demolish over 500 structures over the next five (5) years. Most demolition and asbestos abatement requests are anticipated to be residential structures; however, Service Providers are required to possess the requisite skills to demolish and abate asbestos for non-residential structures.
Prior to demolition, each structure is inspected by a separate vendor to determine the presence (or not) of asbestos containing material.
