About this file

This is a Performance Work Statement for the design, fabrication, and installation of safety roll bars on 13 INTAC Off-Road/Unimproved Road Training Fleet vehicles. The vehicles are Model Year 2026/2027 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road 4X4 Double Cab trucks with 8-speed automatic transmissions. The roll bars must be constructed from 2" x 0.120" DOM steel tubing and 6 x 3/16 flat bar steel, painted black, and designed specifically for structural safety in rollover events rather than aesthetic purposes.

Contractor responsibilities include designing the roll bars based on vehicle specifications, fabricating and manufacturing the components, and installing them with direct mounting to the chassis frame through truck bed penetration. Installation requirements include welded support pads on frame rails, X bracing within the main hoop, rear support bars extending into the mid-bed area, complete painting of roll bars and welded areas, and sealing all penetration points with silicone or equivalent material. The contractor must also provide safe transport of vehicles between their facility and the Summit Point Training Facility in Summit Point, West Virginia. This is being procured as a Firm Fixed Price contract below the simplified acquisition threshold by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mission Support Battalion, with interested vendors holding NAICS code 811114 (Specialized Automotive Repair) encouraged to submit capability packages demonstrating experience with this scope of work.
