The lifting beam is used to move and place the Emergency Bulkhead which has a weight of 14,000 lbs which will be the baseline weight for all load test calculations.
Final test of the lifting beam will be to lower it through the channel slots without a load to ensure that it travels freely under its own weight the length of the track to a subsurface level appropriate to reach the emergency bulkhead.
As previously stated, there are two additional devices at two separate Lakes that shall also be load-tested and certified; however, those devices do not require repairs.
