DRAFT

Intensified sCMOS Camera

Statement of Work

For

AEDC White Oak / Tunnel 9 (TDW)

1.0 PURPOSE

The AEDC White Oak mission is to provide test and evaluation capabilities in support of Hypersonic national priorities. AEDC White Oak operates Hypervelocity Tunnel No. 9.

Tunnel 9 requires this intensified sCMOS camera in support of Hypersonic testing at Mach 7 – Mach 18. This facility provides world renowned testing to validate models for code development purposes. The high sensitivity, high frame-rate, low noise features of the camera are required to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of the measurements.

2.0 SCOPE

The contractor shall deliver a PCO-TECH Dicam C1 ultra Fast Intensified sCMOS Camera (DICAMC1UHS18GaAsP43) that meets the following requirements:

2,1 Physical Requirements

2.1.1 RJ45 Ethernet Port (10GB) with 10m fiber optic link cable

2.1.2 Image Intensifier with GaAs photocathode with peak QE of 30% at 650nm and P43 phosphor.

2.1.3 Cooled latest sCZMOS sensor with resolution of 1504 x 1504 format with a well capacity of 30,000 e-

2.1.4 Ultra-speed Tandem Lens between image intensifier and sCMOS collimator lens for distortion free, high-resolution images

2.1.5 F-Mount Lens Compatibility

2.2 Operational Requirements

2.2.1 Variable exposure times from 2.5 nsec to 1000 sec, software selectable

2.2.2 Readout noise of only 1.1 electrons @ 286 MHz

2.2.3 Pixel scan rate of 286 MHz resulting in 143 full frames / second at full resolution 1504 x 1504 format and >7000fps at reduced vertical resolution.

2.2.4 Dynamic range of 16-bits

2.2.5 External Gate control – 200 KHz in sustained mode and 3.3 MHz in burst mode.

2.2.6 Enhanced extinction ratio gating by fast MCP gating

2.2.7 Imaging modes including single and double shot capture capability

2.2.8 Double shutter function: 2 full resolution images with programmable inter frame time of 300 ns to 10 ms

DRAFT

2.2.9 Ability to perform variable binning from 1x1 to 8x8 and up to 32 vertically and define a region of interest on chip

2.2.10 Ascynchronous triggering possible with TTL input/optical input on camera.

Less than 50ns trigger to exposure start delay

2.2.11 Additional optical trigger input for robust trigger transmission over long distance in EMC critical environments

2.2.12 Compatible with Camware software and ability to define all camera parameters in a single dialog window& capture images

2.3 Documentation Requirements

2.3.1 User Manual

2.3.2 Statement of Volatility

2.4 Software Requirements

2.4.1 Dicam Camera Control software package and future updates included
