About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for the City of Atlanta's Department of Public Works, Office of Fleet Services, outlining requirements for fire apparatus repairs and maintenance services. The City seeks multiple vendor sources to service approximately 300 firefighting and public safety vehicles, including fire pumpers, ladder trucks, Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (AARF) units, ambulances, hazmat units, and command vehicles manufactured by Rosenbauer, Pierce, Spartan, Oshkosh, KME, Cummins, Ford, Rivian, Freightliner, Chevy, and International. All vendors must comply with NFPA 1911 standards and maintain factory-authorized service centers within 175 miles of downtown Atlanta. Service providers must operate a minimum of Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with optional Saturday hours, and provide 24/7 emergency roadside repair services. The scope includes six equipment groups: Fire Apparatus Pumpers, Fire Apparatus Ladders, AARF Units, Hazmat Trucks, Command Units, and Administrative Vehicles. Vendors must provide regular maintenance, emergency repairs, warranty services, automated vehicle status reports, and daily or weekly reporting as required.

Vendors must establish separate billing accounts by OFS location, accept Purchase Orders as the sole payment method, and provide itemized quotes before work begins. Invoices must include detailed equipment information, labor rates, hours worked, OFS work order numbers, and COA purchase order numbers, with Manufacturer Suggested List Prices and all discounts clearly indicated. Service providers are responsible for any damage to City equipment during service and must demonstrate ability to supply replacement parts meeting or exceeding OEM specifications with manufacturer documentation. All warranty documentation must be provided upon receipt or installation, clearly defining service warranties, parts warranties, and repair warranty periods. The City will not reimburse vendors for services rendered to personal equipment belonging to COA employees.
