1 SCOPE

The current Embedded Global Positioning System (GPS) Inertial Navigation System (EGI) is subject to GPS jamming and signal denial in a Close Air Support (CAS) environment. Under these conditions, the EGI performance is lessened, impacting mission critical functions. The current EGI system on the A-10 aircraft utilizes a Fixed Reception Pattern Antenna (FRPA) with no anti-jamming capabilities, and does not support some of the current, and most of the future capabilities that offer improved performance in a jamming environment. This JRG effort is in support of a GPS anti-jamming Initiative, and requires a Selective Availability Anti-spoofing Module (SAASM) GPS receiver with a beam-steering Digital Antenna Electronics (DAE) interface, combined with a Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CRPA). This requirement is in support of an Urgent Operational Need (UON) for production and delivery capability of an approved DAE interface (B-Kit), installation A-Kit and CRPA cabling within a 14 month period of performance (PoP), after contract award.

1.1 PURPOSE

The purpose of this SOW is to procure a program approved, production Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 9 DAE interface for integration into a larger JRG System in support of the A-10C aircraft GPS anti-jamming initiative. This system will include development of the DAE B-Kits, installation A-kits and CRPA cabling for integration and installation of this system into the aircraft. Detailed contractor requirements are identified in section 3 of this SOW.
