If CPW desires to exercise its option years, CPW will request a quote from the awarded vendor by June 15 of each year that an option by the State is requested prior to ordering new batteries. Each year, rate adjustments may be made based on the All Items of the All Urban Consumers (Current Series) Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the West Urban Region as stated on the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI website (http://www.bls.gov/cpi/) when calculating rate adjustments. Each year, rate adjustments may be made based on an average of the most recently published 12-month percent change available at the time the State notifies the Vendor of their intent to renew, or a 5% adjustment, whichever is less. Only one such increase will be allowed per year during the one 12-month period.
