About this file

This document contains Specific Terms and Conditions for a state contract opportunity issued by the Alabama Division of Purchasing. The contract establishes a 12-month initial term with options to extend for up to four additional 12-month periods under the same pricing, terms, and conditions. Bidders must submit their proposals through the Alabamabuys supplier portal, following specific submission instructions that include reviewing each tab and entering bid amounts on the item grid. The contract will be awarded "all or none" to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications, with no guaranteed purchase quantities.

Key financial and compliance requirements include maintaining a minimum of $2,000,000.00 in liability insurance coverage, with $1,000,000.00 per occurrence, and submitting an insurance certificate or letter of intent with the bid. For bids exceeding $50,000.00, vendors must provide proof of licensing through the Alabama State Board of Licensing for General Contractors. The contract includes provisions for potential price escalation based on increases in materials or labor costs, which are limited to changes in the Consumer Price Index and require written approval from both the state and the supplier. Materials and labor must meet trade practice standards and local codes, with all work to be completed professionally.
