About this file

This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Five for the procurement of Ramp Meter Data Conversion Systems. FDOT is seeking to establish a two-year contract for the purchase of these systems, which will enable existing mainline sensors to provide simultaneous data streams to the ramp meter signal systems and the statewide SunGuide central software system. The ITB specifies the required equipment, including SDLC Interface Converter Devices, SDLC Conversion Cables, TCP/UDP Collector Devices, and Ethernet Cables, and the estimated quantities FDOT anticipates purchasing over the two-year contract period. Bids are due by October 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM, and the contract will become effective upon award to the successful bidder(s).

Pricing for the equipment is requested on a one-time purchase basis as well as on a per-unit basis with quantity to be determined. The contract is subject to annual appropriated funding, and no minimum order quantities will be accepted. The ITB outlines various preferences, including an in-state business preference and a drug-free workplace preference, that may be applied in the event of tied bids. The successful bidder(s) will be required to provide a two-year warranty on the equipment and ongoing technical support during that period.
