About this file

The document is a technical specification for a boom truck issued by the City of Pittsburgh's Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI), detailing precise requirements for a specialized vehicle to be used in urban infrastructure maintenance. The specification calls for a National Crane 500E2 boom truck mounted on an International MV607 chassis with a Cummins L9 engine, featuring an 18-ton class lifting capacity, 60-foot main boom, dual operator stations, and comprehensive safety and operational features. The document provides detailed technical requirements across seven sections, covering vehicle platform, boom crane unit, stabilization system, accessories, body configuration, warranty requirements, and compliance standards.

The technical specification includes optional add-ons that can be priced separately, such as a swing-away jib extension, factory-installed toolboxes, 360-degree single front outrigger configuration, four-function radio remote control, and additional hook blocks. Warranty coverage includes 5 years for crane structural components, 2 years for hydraulic and electrical systems, and the manufacturer's standard chassis warranty. The specification emphasizes strict compliance requirements, mandating that the delivered vehicle must meet all specifications without post-delivery modifications, include all required safety features and documentation, and be fully compliant with Pennsylvania State Inspection requirements.
