RE: Request for Information (RFI) DOH57566- Bureau of Maternal Child & Family Health-SFY26-27-Ohio Healthy Programs Management System
The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is seeking Letters of Interest from contractors with the ability and interest to offer professional services to operate and manage the Ohio Professional Registry (OPR).
PROJECT BACKGROUND: In 2006, Ohio opened its registry statewide and became the 24th state to start a professional development registry. From the beginning, Ohio's Registry has supported collaborative cross-sector work in that it has been open and inclusive of all the different neighborhoods in the greater early childhood and afterschool field.
The training/trainer approval systems for various state agencies were unified in 2008 to provide one access point for trainers to submit professional development for approval. Use of the online system provides an automatic verification system for professionals, which reduces the amount of paper as well as staff time in the submission of training and in the verification of documentation. Postings of training provided by all these cross-sector neighbors allows for professionals to have a better pool of training to choose from, as well as participating in these shared opportunities.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES: Objective of this project is to continue operation of the Ohio Professional Registry (OPR).
The OPR maintains records of education, licensure and professional development for all people working in early childhood programs across the state. The system must allow for electronic submission, review, and approval of all applications for Ohio Healthy Programs designation. This designation (and every other year re-designation) leads to improved and healthy environments for young children with the goal of combating childhood obesity.
PROJECT DELIVERABLES:

c. Continue application review process if OCCRRA’s Registered Dietitian is unavailable for an extended period.
d. Process OHP applications. Menus to be reviewed by Registered Dietitian.
e. Provide technical assistance on application needs to those seeking OHP designation, OHP instructors, and TA providers.
f. Provide designation certificate and incentives to designated ECE programs.
6. Submit OHP monthly documentation:
a. Application documentation for each approved application including OH-PANA report, policy, menu(s), and success story.
b. Application information for each approved application including, but not limited to, ECE program name, contact information, address, designation date, and expiration date.

d. Provide ODH with OHP Training and Application CSVs monthly.
e. Other needed data points per ODH request.

a. Deliverable status and corresponding documentation.
