About this file
This is Addendum #1 to an Invitation to Bid issued by the Florida Department of Health, Division of Administration, Bureau of Procurement and Contract Administration, for awning and sunshade installation services at Miami-Dade County Health Department locations. The addendum addresses 16 questions submitted by prospective vendors regarding project specifications, drawings, technical requirements, budget information, and site visit procedures. Key clarifications include confirmation that the awning installation is for a building structure rather than a vehicle, with a 100-linear-foot awning at 2515 West Flagler Street and a 45-by-45-foot courtyard sunshade at 18255 Homestead Avenue. All detailed specifications, drawings, dimensions, fabric requirements, and technical specifications are contained in Attachment A of the original ITB document. Mandatory site visits were held on November 12, 2025, and the Department does not intend to schedule additional site visits. Written questions were due by November 17, 2025, with sealed bids due by December 15, 2025, at 2:30 PM. The intent to award was anticipated to be posted on December 29, 2025, with contract commencement on October 1, 2025, or the contract execution date, whichever is later.
The addendum confirms that the estimated construction budget is not available to prospective vendors, and a plan holder list is not provided. All procurement information is posted to the MyFloridaMarketPlace Vendor Information Portal at https://vendor.myfloridamarketplace.com/. The Department emphasizes compliance with Section 2.7 regarding mandatory site visits and Section 2.2 regarding restrictions on communications, with no additional meetings or follow-up calls to be scheduled. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible respondent offering the lowest grand total price. Vendors must provide all engineering services, acquire necessary permits, and complete installation within 90 days of Purchase Order issuance, with all work complying with Florida Building Code standards for High Velocity Hurricane Zones and requiring structural engineer certification.
