About this file

This document is an Addendum #2 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Health (DOH) for the Sentinel Chicken Program. The purpose of this ITB is for the DOH to obtain competitive prices for establishing, maintaining, and routinely sampling eight coop sites of sentinel chickens for the DOH and Palm Beach County's Arbovirus Surveillance Program. The addendum provides the DOH's responses to questions received by the deadline, including confirmation that all contractor qualification requirements in the Scope of Work must be met prior to award, except for obtaining a Biomedical Waste Permit, which can be obtained after award. The contractor is also responsible for securing suitable chicken coop sites in the specified locations prior to the bid being awarded.

The ITB covers a state and local contract opportunity involving the State of Florida, Leon County, and the City of Tallahassee. No additional details are provided regarding pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements and sources, or other salient information.
