About this file
This document is a timber sale prescription from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources - Forest Resources Division for a 121.8-acre thinning project in the Gladwin Management Unit. The project involves thinning three stands of red pine trees to an average basal area of 110. The contractor will be responsible for painting lines to delineate clearcut areas along roads, marking trees to be removed, and conducting a timber cruise. The contract work can begin immediately and must be completed by August 31, 2023.
Pricing terms are not included in the document. The DNR will provide paint and the contractor's work schedule must coincide with the DNR's schedule for paint supply. The contractor is required to provide a list of names for those who marked or cruised each unit, a summary of paint used, and upload all data to the DNR's inventory management system.
