About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) response template document from the Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) related to the California Medicaid Contracting and Compliance System (CalMaCCS). The template is designed to collect standardized information from potential vendors and contractors who may participate in the state's managed health care procurement processes. The document establishes a structured format for respondents to provide details about their organizations, capabilities, and relevant experience in healthcare contracting and compliance systems. While the template itself does not specify particular quantities, response deadlines, site visits, or bidders' meetings, it functions as the foundational instrument through which DMHC will gather vendor qualifications and system requirements information to inform subsequent procurement phases.
The RFI response template does not establish specific pricing terms, set-asides, or incumbent contractor information within its structure, as its primary purpose is information gathering rather than formal procurement solicitation. This template serves as a preliminary stage in DMHC's vendor engagement process, allowing the state to assess market capabilities and vendor readiness before issuing formal Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or Requests for Quotations (RFQs). The document supports California's procurement objectives for the CalMaCCS initiative, which focuses on modernizing managed health care contracting and compliance operations. No specific funding amounts or renewal options are detailed in the template itself, as these elements will be determined following the information collection and evaluation phases.
