About this file

This is a Contractor Questionnaire designed to evaluate the capability of potential suppliers responding to a Sources Sought Announcement (SSA) for spare parts associated with military battery chargers and adapters. The Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen, acting on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center, is seeking information from sources capable of supplying three specific items: the Soldier Portable Charger (SPC) (NSN 6130-01-495-2839, Bren-Tronics Part # BTC-70801), the Advanced Battery Charger (ABC) (NSN 6130-01-660-3696, Bren-Tronics Part # BTC-70100), and the CSEL Adapter (NSN 5940-01-544-3476, Bren-Tronics Part # BTA-70581A or J-6769A/P). All three items are manufactured by Bren-Tronics (CAGE Code 51828).

The questionnaire requires respondents to provide company summary and core competencies; complete point of contact information including company name, address, phone, fax, email, CAGE code, and DUNS number; and detailed past performance data for the specific products, including contract numbers and supporting documentation. Additionally, suppliers must demonstrate their capability and experience in: managing component obsolescence through documented processes and tracking tools; identifying alternative materials and components to mitigate obsolescence; meeting U.S. Government delivery schedules; maintaining product inventory; and identifying any supply chain vulnerabilities that could impede on-time delivery. This is a market research initiative intended to identify responsible sources and determine market competitiveness; no contract award will be made based on responses to this SSA, and respondents will not be reimbursed for preparation costs.
