About this file

This is a Contractor Questionnaire associated with a Sources Sought Announcement (SSA) for the Front Panel I/O CCA Integrated Data Modem-401 (IDM-401), NSN 5998-01-706-3799, issued by the Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center. The questionnaire is designed to evaluate potential contractors' capabilities to manufacture or supply this military component, which is an Improved Data Modem used in air and ground systems for data communication. Respondents must provide company information including CAGE code, DUNS number, and technical points of contact, along with detailed documentation of past performance on similar manufacturing efforts, engineering staff qualifications, and experience with component sourcing and test equipment identification.

The questionnaire specifically assesses contractors' capabilities in obsolescence management, including documentation of tools and processes to track component availability and identify alternatives for unavailable materials. Respondents must address their ability to meet U.S. Government delivery requirements and clarify their willingness to support the Government's preferences for Long Term contracts and Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicles. Additionally, contractors must disclose whether they maintain product inventory, identify any supply chain vendors that could impact delivery schedules, and describe mitigation strategies. The Government possesses the technical data package (TDP) with level 3 production information available for conditional release, indicating this is a follow-on acquisition opportunity. This is a pre-solicitation announcement issued for market research and planning purposes; no contract award or cost reimbursement will result from responses.
