About this file

This is a Contractor Questionnaire for a Sources Sought Announcement (DLA-Aberdeen-26-065) issued by the Defense Logistics Agency-Aberdeen on behalf of the Army Integrated Logistics Supply Center. The government is conducting market research to identify potential manufacturers and suppliers of Small Tactical Universal Batteries (STUB), a family of interchangeable, rechargeable batteries designated for communications electronics support. Eight specific battery part numbers are being sourced (BB-2511A/U through BB-2524A/U), each with corresponding NSNs in the 6140-01-73x series. The government possesses the technical data package (TDP) with level 2 developmental information and has made it available for release to qualified sources.

Respondents must complete a detailed questionnaire addressing company background and core competencies, point of contact information including CAGE code and DUNS number, past performance on military-grade battery manufacturing and USB power delivery protocols, obsolescence management experience and tools, capability to identify component alternatives, ability to meet government delivery schedules, current inventory status, supply chain risk mitigation strategies, and production capacity details including minimum warm-line quantities, steady-state maximums, surge capacity, and efficiency breakpoints. This is a pre-solicitation announcement for planning and market research purposes only; the government will not award contracts or reimburse response preparation costs. Responses will be used to determine if responsible sources exist and whether the procurement can be competitive or set aside for small business concerns. The applicable NAICS code is 335910.
