QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

RFI # DJO-BJS-17-F-0077

OJP Data Archiving Services

1. Can respondents to this Sources Sought assume that systems described in Task Areas 1 through 4 beginning with Data Curation and ending with Reporting already exist?

The systems referenced exist currently, but they are owned by the current provider. The functionality and capabilities represented by those systems would need to be recreated if the incumbent were to be no longer involved.

2. Are systems currently in place to perform the tasks outlined in items i. through viii. as described beginning at the bottom of page 6 of 10 and ending at the top of page 7 of 10?

It varies. Systems are in place to do some of the work described in this section. However, we are at times describing tasks that are not currently supported. Respondents should present what they feel is the best approach to address the tasks regardless of the existence of any legacy systems.

3. There is no mention of Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) security requirements in this sources sought. Will data contained in this archive include personally identifiable information (PII) that would need be kept within a FIPS moderate environment?

Yes, this archive houses information at varying levels of sensitivity, including PII. In some cases, data may contain direct identifiers, and in other, indirect identifiers. Federal standards for confidentiality protection would need to be met in each case.

4. How are these services currently being performed? Under contract? In-house?

These services are currently being performed under contract.
