Question: Regarding the "cross-draw" capability requirement for the "Glock 17/19 holster, is there an approximate angle needed for the cross-draw? We just want to ensure that the holster is within all the required specs.
Answer: The example product cants 20 degrees from vertical.
Question:
| 1. | Would you prefer the holsters to be set up for inside-the-waistband or outside-the-waistband carry? |
| 2. | The total quantity desired is 825 units (675 for right-handed shooters and 150 for left-handed shooters), holsters must be "model specific" (they cannot fit both Glock 19 and Glock 17 holsters), of the 825 holsters desired how many will need to fit Glock 19 and how many will need to fit Glock 17? |
Answer: The holster referenced is an outside the waistband holster that fits both the Glock 17 and Glock 19. I have put the two bullets below that are applicable here. The FBI will not accept a holster that fits “All Glocks” and will not accept a holster that requires an adapter or must be modified to accept both weapons. The brand name or equal requirement refers to the need for a holster that holds both the Glock 19 and Glock 17 specifically with no modifications.
• The design of the holster shall fit the Glock 17 Gen5 MOS and Glock 19 Gen5 MOS exclusively. No holsters that are designed to fit “All Glocks”, or a generic fit will be accepted. Holsters which fit the Glock 17 Gen5 MOS and Glock 19 Gen5 MOS are acceptable.
• Holsters shall not be modified to fit both pistols (G17 and G19), i.e. an adapter which allows either pistol to fit in the same holster.
Question: Question on this RFQ. Are they looking specifically for a pancake style holster like the CompTac or will a folded holster with belt loops work? I am also assuming a double point belt loop attachment is preferred?
Answer: The FBI will consider quotes for a folded holster if all specifications are met. A double point belt loop is preferred.
Question: As I look through this RFQ, I have a question about the quantity of holsters. Are both of these quantities required for the both the Glock 17 and Glock 19 holsters?
