About this file
This is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) document for the Division of the State Architect (DSA) Project Inspector Services issued by the California Community Colleges District (CCCD). The RFQ seeks to establish a pool of 5-6 highly qualified firms capable of providing comprehensive project inspection services to support CCCD and its assigned construction management or program management agents throughout various upcoming construction projects. Responding firms must be prepared to deliver Project Inspector (PI) services on behalf of CCCD in an expeditious and timely manner to meet critical project deadlines and schedules. The inspection services will be required through the completion of construction on multiple projects, with firms expected to maintain readiness to support CCCD's construction initiatives as needed.
The document establishes a qualifications-based selection process designed to pre-qualify firms for potential engagement on an as-needed basis rather than establishing a single contract award. The pool approach allows CCCD flexibility in selecting qualified inspectors for different projects based on specific project requirements, scope, and timing. Firms selected to the pool will be positioned to respond to inspection service needs across CCCD's capital project portfolio, with specific project assignments and associated pricing to be determined through individual project engagements following selection to the pool.
