About this file
This is a District School List document for the Lighthouse Purchasing Co-op, a Connecticut-based consortium serving K-12 school districts across multiple counties in the state. The document provides detailed contact information and operational parameters for food service directors and kitchen facilities across 26 school districts and regions, including Andover/Coventry, Avon, Bloomfield, Canton, Clinton, Colchester, Cromwell, Derby, East Haddam, East Hampton, East Lyme, Glastonbury, Groton, Isaac School, Montville, New London, Old Saybrook, Putnam, Region 10, Region 13, Salem, Sprague, Stonington, Vernon, Waterford, and two out-of-state facilities (The Bridge Academy in Bridgeport and The Met Schools in Providence and Newport). The list encompasses approximately 90 individual school locations spanning elementary through high schools, with each entry including the food service director's name and contact information, school name, street address, city, phone number, kitchen operating hours, and specific delivery requirements or restrictions.
Delivery windows are critical operational parameters specified for each facility, with kitchen operations typically opening between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM and closing between 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM. Many schools impose specific delivery restrictions, such as prohibiting deliveries during lunch periods (typically between 10:30 AM and 1:00 PM) or requiring deliveries within designated morning windows. Several districts prefer early morning deliveries before 11:00 AM, while others note special considerations such as bus lane access limitations, custodial staff availability, loading dock constraints, or specific delivery entrance requirements. This comprehensive directory serves as the contact and operational framework for grocery suppliers and distributors seeking to service these Connecticut school district food programs through the Lighthouse Purchasing Co-op cooperative purchasing arrangement.
