The project involves construction of erosion and sediment control measures, installation of a wire cable net portal closure, construction and removal of safety fencing, removal of an old concrete block wall, installation of a segmental retaining wall and chain link fence, upgrading of a parking area, paving, and revegetation of disturbed areas. The work must be completed within 120 calendar days and includes specific requirements for site preparation, drainage pipe repositioning, ground control safety measures, and fugitive dust control.
The document outlines detailed technical specifications for materials and installation procedures, including requirements for aggregate types, segmental retaining wall construction, chain link fencing, paving specifications, and safety measures. The project falls under Davis-Bacon Act wage requirements and requires contractors to comply with Virginia Department of Transportation Road and Bridge Specifications. The specifications include measurement and payment terms for each component of work, with most items being paid either on a unit price basis (per linear foot, square foot, or ton) or lump sum basis. No total project budget amount is specified in the document.
