About this file
This document appears to be a parts list for a Deployable Interceptor Platform (DIP) kit, which is likely related to the federal contract opportunity for "DELL Fiber Breakout Cables".
The DIP kit includes a Dell R440 server, an S4112 switch, power distribution units, transit and accessory cases, and various fiber optic cables and connectors. The kit can be set up in a physical, virtual, or hybrid configuration depending on the requirements. The document provides instructions for each setup type.
The federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation from the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command, seeking details on the required fiber optic equipment. No specific response dates, award information, pricing terms, or set-asides are provided in the available documents.

2. DIP Controller Setup Types For guidance on the DIP virtual sensor see the v3.7 Virtual DIP Installation Guide. A fully virtual kit setup will require a Deviation Request as this capability has not been through a Capstone event.
There are a number of ways to set up a Deployable Interceptor Platform (DIP) Kit. A physical DIP kit is defined as all hardware for both sensors and servers. A fully virtual setup is defined as all nodes (servers/sensors) being set up as VMs. A hybrid kit can be defined as a hardware kit with one to many remote sensors deployed as VMs. (Note: There is nothing that prevents the provisioning of more virtual servers, but it is not supported per our documentation.) For each setup type follow the below instructions:
Physical Kit Setup - To set up a physical kit follow all instructions notated in this guide.
Optional steps referring to setting up a virtual sensor may be skipped unless setting up a hybrid kit.
Fully Virtual Setup - For a fully virtual kit setup refer to the . A switch setup is not required as everything will be v3.7 Virtual DIP Installation Guide set up in either ESXi or VCenter setup. (NOTE: the operator may optionally import the ACAS and Windows Server VM as well in section 9) Hybrid Kit Setup - To set up a hybrid kit follow all instructions notated in this guide.

3. DIP R440 Physical Setup This section aims to provide a general overview for configuring the Deployable Interceptor Platform (DIP) kit before deployment. This section will establish the key points in narrative form, which are needed to ensure a smooth transition of the kit to an operational state when deployed. The objective is for operators to take a prepared kit to a remote location and be operational within thirty minutes of entering the facility. The recommendation is to read through this section to gain a general and holistic understanding of the DIP, and then use the step-by-step guided sections as checklists for each stage in the process. This section explains why there is a need to configure the DIP and the supplemental sections provide how to configure the DIP.
Cables and other required accessories are the responsibility of the Unit.
