About this file
This is a bid request document issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget Printing Services for the production of green insurance license pressure seal mailers for the Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS). The project requires the printing of 100,000 mailers in an 8-1/2 x 11 inch portrait format with specific technical specifications including full horizontal perforation at 5 1/2 inches from the top, two vertical perforations at the left and right edges, and co-adhesive pressure seal glue on all edges. The mailers must feature a die-cut window with rounded corners measuring 1-1/4 x 3-1/2 inches, located 1 inch from the left edge and 3-1/4 inches from the bottom, and must be printed in black and PMS 569 green on both sides of 100# white tag stock. Products must be delivered shrink-wrapped in groups of 250 and packed in cartons of 1,000, with strict requirements that all materials lay flat. Delivery is directed to Bradley M. Schumann at the General Services Building in Dimondale, Michigan.
The bid awards will be determined on best price and value to the state, with preference given to prequalified vendors. The Department reserves the right to reject the lowest bid if it does not provide best value, citing potential past quality concerns or inability to meet specifications as reasons for non-award. Vendors are required to submit a detailed quote letter with their bid response, and failure to include this documentation will result in automatic bid disqualification. Approval of the final product requires both a PDF proof and hard copy proof for vendor verification.
