About this file
This document provides specifications for a diesel-fired patch trailer to be procured by the State of Maine. The trailer is designed for hot mix asphalt patching operations and must be self-contained with integrated heating, mixing, and application capabilities. Key specifications include a diesel-powered burner system capable of heating asphalt to application temperatures, a mixing auger system for material agitation, and a hydraulic-powered application system. The trailer must comply with Maine Department of Transportation standards and environmental regulations regarding emissions and fuel storage. The document outlines detailed technical requirements for the heating system, material hopper capacity, mixing mechanisms, and spray application equipment, along with performance standards for material temperature maintenance and consistency.
The specifications indicate requirements for equipment durability, operator safety features, and compliance with federal and state transportation regulations. The trailer must include safety shut-off systems, temperature monitoring equipment, and proper ventilation. Maintenance and service provisions are specified to ensure reliable operation in Maine's seasonal climate conditions. The document does not specify pricing, bid due dates, contract term, or award timeline, as these elements would be contained in the related solicitation documents rather than in the equipment specification sheet itself.
