About this file
This is a supplier information document related to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) for the Fetal and Infant Mortality Review (FIMR) program, as referenced in House Bill No. 2010, Section 10.730. The contract opportunity designates funding for a non-governmental, previously established local FIMR team operating in a city with more than 400,000 inhabitants that spans multiple counties. The selected vendor will be permitted to operate independently of the state program with a separate Institutional Review Board (IRB) to review select zip codes within their designated metropolitan area. The vendor must utilize standards and methods of review established by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, maintain coordination with the state FIMR Program and regional FIMR teams, and submit all outcomes, findings, and data from their areas of purview to the state program for integration into statewide monitoring and analysis efforts.
The funding source is derived from state legislative appropriation under HB 2010, Section 10.730, with the specific allocation designated for a vendor meeting the criteria of operating an established local FIMR team in a qualifying jurisdiction. The vendor must demonstrate capacity for independent operations while maintaining compliance with state-established protocols and collaborative reporting requirements. This arrangement allows for localized, targeted mortality review efforts in metropolitan areas with significant population size and multi-county jurisdictional complexity, while preserving state oversight through data submission and coordination with the broader state and regional FIMR infrastructure.
