SPECIFICATION

PROCUREMENT SPECIFICATIONS

Fiber Optic Splicing Trailer

Basic Description:

Purchase OPGW splicing trailer to be used on extreme terrain and in all weather conditions. All doors, windows, and exterior compartments must be 100% sealed

Shall include the following specifications and equipment:

Trailer/Chassis

Body width 84” Min Length of body including “V” 185” Min Overall trailer length 198” Min Curb weight empty 3600 lbs max Interior height is 82”.

GVWR is 7700 lbs (min).

1” foam sidewall insulation and 6” ceiling insulation.

12” (min) axle clearance 16” (min) frame clearance Hot dip galvanized (steel) trailer frame Full width rear step bumper 2-5/16” ball hitch 7000 lb. adjustable top-wind front jack Electric brakes all 4 wheels Breakaway battery/brake kit Dexter Torflex tandem axles with 8 stud hub & drums 245/75R17 E wheel/tire size or equal Fully D.O.T. compliant trailer (LED) lighting, 7 pin RV style round trailer connector Single rear door, right hand hinge, flush lock with window in top half.

1 ea. 18”x18” lift up fiber cable access doors with 2”x6” cable slot door with interior latch, opening outward on the rear of the trailer next to the personnel door. (Prefer the splice door open into the personnel doorway for easy access)

1 ea. Fiber cable access door snap cover 2 ea. 30”x15” radius tinted glass windows located on street side White vinyl Interior walls

Electrical

50 amp panel box, include main & circuit breakers 4 ea. 110 volt 15 amp duplex interior power outlets 3 ea. 110 V GFI exterior power outlets w/weathertite box, 2 ea. curbside, 1 ea.

rear

2 ea. 4’ flush-mounted LED ceiling lights 1 ea. carbon monoxide detector, mounted low, under the work bench Ship-to-shore power outlet w/25’ power cord & integral battery charger/maintainer

Generator:

5.5 kW Commercial/Mobile Gasoline Generator, includes battery, exhaust must comply with USDA (USFS) spark arrester specifications Generator compartment for gasoline installation includes metal enclosure with slide-out generator tray, locking access door, remote stop/start switch, 11 gallon certified fuel cell. Generator compartment must be 100 percent sealed with no vents. Generator will be run with access door open and slide out extended.

Electrical:

Air conditioning, 13,500 BTU 2 ea. electric baseboard heaters with thermostat, 110V 1 ea. 12V accessory/cell phone outlet

Cabinet/Storage:

See attached drawings for details 17”x34” diamond plate access door with locking latch and seal, provides access to exterior storage compartment on rear curbside Cabinet tops black laminate with rounded edges, finished where they meet the interior walls.

Cabinet doors and drawers shall have positive locking “T” handles

Misc.:

2 ea. wheel chock holders mounted on “A” frame 2 ea. galvanized grip strut wheel chocks 1 ea. spare tire, mounted Crank-down leveling jacks all four corners, removable for storage inside trailer 1 ea. 5 lb. fire extinguisher 1 ea. first aid kit Document/registration holder, exterior front mounted

Black ergonomic rubber flooring

Stereo/CD/AM/FM with speakers

1 OPGW Cable Clamp for interior workbench, provided loose to be installed by

WAPA personnel

Spare tire mounted on front of trailer on “V”

Ground connection permanently mounted on rear step bumper

Street side latter rack, mounted on side of the trailer. Able to carry (1) 16’ extension ladder and (1) 8’ step ladder.

No exterior side or roof mounted air vents.

Exterior porch lighting above each door.

No exterior floodlights required.

2 –12v interior LED dome lights

Delivery:

Monday through Thursday only, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, excluding Federal Holidays, with 1 week prior notice.
