About this file

This document is a Description of Supply for a submersible pump procurement for the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). The S-703 pump station, located at the intersection of the C-102 and L-31E Canal, requires a spare pump as part of the structure's turnover. The specific requirements include manufacturing, testing, and delivering one submersible electric pump rated for 20 cubic feet per second (CFS) at 13.03' Total Dynamic Head, with a 50hp, 720rpm submersible electric motor and 25.0' electric cable. The manufacturer must provide a 5-year warranty and perform full-size factory testing, with delivery to the SFWMD Homestead Field Station within 320 days of contract award.

The contract performance terms specify that the manufacturer must plan and schedule work to ensure material and labor availability, provide a fixed cost and technical summary, and maintain communication with the Point of Contact (POC) and Contracting Officer. The POCs are Ricardo L. Esbri Amador (Lead Mechanical Engineer) and Stephen A. Baisden (Project Manager), both from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The original Contract 5B for the S-703 pump station construction was awarded on 02 October 2020, and this procurement is part of the ongoing infrastructure development in the area.
